Sometimes life can be difficult for us, it can be unmanageable and challenging. Counselling can be great support or resource at times of crisis or difficulty in our lifes.
The service is completely confidential. Each call is dealt with promptly and the caller is matched to a suitable counselor in a timely manner.
Family Support Services
Connemara Family Support Services operated by TUSLA: Child and Family Agency operate form Clann Resource Center. This service aims to provide a service to families within their own homes and communities, to build on their strengths and help them overcome difficulties.
Play Therapy
What is Play Therapy?
Sometimes children experience difficulties and behave in ways that may cause disruptions to their lives or be concern to those around them. Play therapy provides a child with an opportunity to play out their thoughts, feelings and problems.
Who is it for?
Possible Referal Isues:
Any child can benefit from Play Therapy as it promote self-confidence, imagination, creativity, concentration, communication, self steem, etc. Play Therapy is suitable for children as young as two or three years old and there is no upper age limit.

Art Therapy
What is Art Therapy?
Art Herapy is a form of psychotherapy that involves making art. You don’t have to be good at art. Through the process of art making you can explore feelings, which can lead to a greater understanding of yourself and how you relate to others. It can be a safe space to play, experimentation, taking risks or trying something new. It is a space to use art material in the presence of a qualfied art therapist. It can be useful when talking is difficult or when too many words get in the way.
How can Art Therapy help?
It can offer an increased sense of well being. It can help you recognise, understand and change stuck patterns of behaviour. You can feel listened to supported and valued. Art Therapy creates a space where you can share thoughts and feelings in one to one or goput settings.
